The core of the strength in our Next Generation products comes from cutting-edge design, premium manufacturing and the highest quality materials. The basis of this is SpoolRite Belting Technology, which is high quality steel in continuous bands; this provides the stability and integrity through the width and length of the track. This technology avoids track-breakage that other products are prone to and prevents the down-time this causes.

The quality of the compounds in our recipe provide for rubber of both durability and toughness, giving tracks that outlast and out-perform competitors (this is demonstrated in our constant OEM tests). Our unique compounds combine HRAT (High-Performance Rolling Area Track) compound to make rubber resistant to wear and damage, though at the same time flexible, and 5-RT which is included to provide UV ray protection (and protects against the damage this causes).

Tread design is vital – it supplies both stability and traction – and so, safe working. Each McLaren line is equipped with an optimized, individual footprint to maximize these requirements. These designs also minimize vibration, enhance stability of loads and reduce mechanical undercarriage wear – which reduces maintenance.

McLaren manufacture Next Generation aerial platform tracks with advanced tread patterns to provide a secure work platform, increasing stable maneuvering and reduce vibration. For combine harvesters, the Field Master Multi-Season track is the best in its field. We have upgraded the forgings to provide 50% more work-wear using new alloy. These new forgings can be fixed if needed by simply using hard-surface welding wire. Again, the SpoolRite Belting is integral, with the EWF (Extra-Wide Forgings) giving a minimized footprint as well as the added life-span (this also adds to machine stability when working on gradients). The rubber compounds are second-to-none as our customers have come to expect.

To maximize a machine’s capabilities McLaren provide several track options to expand working environments, these are in the Hybrid HD (Heavy Duty) and OTT (Over-The-Tire) lines.

Hybrid HD tracks are strictly speaking a very potent steel track that’s designed to give performance in the most demanding circumstances. But it’s also a model that can that can be fitted with quality rubber pads to allow travel - or working - on hard-standing or paved surfaces without causing the damage of steel tracking.

An OTT Combo system gives the possibility to combine the fantastic qualities of McLaren Nu-Air Semi-Pneumatic tire functionality with the capability of tough Next Gen track working when required. The technology makes it easy to convert a suitable machine when there is varying terrain on a project (or as it changes in the course of work), and solves the need to employ multiple vehicles. This can also be valuable when access/space is limited. The ultra-tough Diamond OTT Combo, for example will give a single machine a diverse range of capabilities.
