The firm (though semi-solid!) foundation for our tires is McLaren Semi-Pneumatic Technology™ which is exemplified by the Nu-Air® range. The revolutionary architecture of these tires provide invulnerability found in airless products with vibration reduction of pneumatic traditional rubber tires. Various carefully employed tread configurations efficiently tackle wide-ranging operational conditions with maximum efficiency. Nu-Air® tires are designed to seamlessly combine with our OTT™ (Over-The-Tire) track products to offer multi-function vehicle application (see Combo Packages).

When it comes to rubber tracks, SpoolRight™ Belting Technology offer McLaren New Generation® tracks their core strength, and keep them turning where others would fear to tread. The internal continuous design stops track-break vulnerability that can lead to so much lost work time. Combine High-Performance Rolling Area Track™ (HRAT) and 5-RT compounds in the great quality rubber mix, and you get tracks that have greater durability as well as protection from U.V light. These ingredients and superior design give our rubber tracks a long and hard-working life.

When the terrain gets tough, the steel of McLaren tracks keep rolling, taking a machine to places that cause difficulties for other tracks. What drives our formidable steel is fine attention given to design detail, steel-alloy of superb quality and outstanding manufacture. Tracks like Diamond OTT™ and Hybrid™ Heavy Duty take machines to work places where other makes fear to go. As usual, McLaren adaptability is designed into our tracks, too – they operate either with their hardened steel facings, or can be fitted quickly with one of several magnesium-enriched rubber pad options. The facing steel is heat-treated 40Cr carbon steel which is hardened to HRC 50-55. These qualities give cutting-edge performance on rock, rubble, ice and scrap that normal cast links just cannot match. The links are soundly connected with fittings and pins enriched with chromium for longevity and durability. All components are built for easy replacement, making rebuilds trouble-free and routine maintenance convenient.

The smallest detail can play the biggest part in maintaining the stability of a machine, making it safe and giving maximum efficiency. Tire tread and track patterns are vital considerations to maintain safe working and provide optimal traction. McLaren designs pay close attention throughout all ranges and products to this factor, maximizing performance. We specifically tailor tread patterns and track footprints even to varying product widths offering best traction and stability to prolong the wear of products. Operating with minimized vibration also helps to preserve load integrity working at height and reduces wear to the components of a machine’s undercarriage.
